Max’s long-awaited debut in Europe is fast approaching, and now comes a cheeky original from Norway.
Warner Bros. Discovery-owned streamer is on the way norwegian milfa scripted comedy starring Marian Hall (Made in Oslo, ammunition) and Trond Fausa Aurvåg (Oppenheimer, Lily Hammer).
The eight-episode show will launch in Norway and other European countries on Tuesday, May 21, and will be available across Max’s international footprint. After launch, new episodes will be released every Friday.
JB Perrette outlined the Max rollout plans during his keynote at Series Mania in Lille, France last month.
norwegian milf The film follows Leanne (Hall), a woman in the midst of a midlife crisis who accidentally becomes an internet porn star. The film is directed by Rune Denstad Langlois and written by Katinka Nicolaisen and Christian A. Owe.
The synopsis is as follows. “The spark in Leanne’s marriage has long gone, and when she suddenly loses her job at a prestigious advertising agency, she feels lost, humiliated, and wondering what to do next.” During a drunken night, she posted revealing photos of herself in traditional ethnic costumes on the website InsideFans, primarily as a joke.
“Leanne quickly realized that there was a niche audience out there who wanted more and were willing to pay for it. Denied the excitement and freedom she felt in this new secret life.” It’s hard to do that, so the extra income helps. At the same time, the fear of being exposed is exhausting, because who are the people watching her?”
“A show about internet porn and midlife crisis was never on my wish list, but the script was great,” Hall said. “With a dream team of actors and Rune Langlo on board as director, this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. It’s a dream role I never knew I wanted.”
The show is based on the idea of Birgitte Bruusgaard and Jørn Berge Larsen, the latter of whom also serves as producer. The series is directed by Rune Denstad Langlois and written by Katinka Nicolaisen and Christian A. Owe.
WBD’s executive producers are Rebecca Medborg and Bjorn Asgeirsson. The producer is Brandpeople AS.
