Bitcoin is reaching for the stars. The world’s most popular cryptocurrency occupies a spot in the pop music hall of fame, behind only Post Malone, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.
With Bitcoin’s mainstream adoption and demand for everyday use by ordinary people, King Coin is currently racking up more searches than a mainstream pop singer.
On the 12-month chart, Bitcoin is trading high against several chart toppers, with the current index at 45, while Ariana Grande is at 17 and Post Malone and Taylor Swift are at 17. It is 15.
There is no shortage of news for this trio of singers. Post Malone just scored another No. 1 hit with his third studio album, Hollywood’s Bleeding.
Includes a list of chart-topping artists: SZA, DaBaby, Halsey, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott, Swae Lee, Future, Young Thug. The album shot to the top of Billboard’s Hot 200 chart.
Taylor Swift just submitted her Tiny Desk Concert to NPR.
The 30-minute set has been viewed 1,195,396 times since its release on October 28th. She also won Best American Act at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards, which aired on November 3rd.
Ariana Grande received the most nominations of any artist at this year’s MTV EMAs. Although she didn’t win any of her seven nominations, her record sales still put her at the top of the charts.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin, which is traded around the world 24/7 across banks and borders, is celebrating the publication of a white paper written 11 years ago.
