Love Island USA has announced that Ariana Madix will replace Sarah Hyland as its new host.
The Modern Family star announced her exit earlier this week (March 28), but with Maddix stepping into her shoes, it didn’t take producers long to find a replacement (via Deadline ).
The star, perhaps best known for her role on Vanderpump Rules, will take over the helm starting with the sixth season, which is scheduled to air later this year after filming in Fiji.

Hyland, who played Haley Dunphy on Modern Family, hosted the show’s past two seasons, but announced earlier this week that she was stepping down due to scheduling conflicts.
“Well, I just received an email. I am disappointed that the news has to break in this way, but it is true that I will not be returning to the island this summer,” she said in a statement.
“I’m working on an exciting project that will be announced soon, which coincides directly with filming dates for ‘Love Island USA.’ I’m sad that I can’t go back, but I’m looking forward to working on Peacock a lot this summer and next season. I hope you see some love!”
The US version of the show had a new host, while Maya Jama headlined the show in the UK version and its spinoff All Stars. The latter show featured iconic stars from past editions taking on matchmaking once again.

Molly Smith and Tom Clare won the series, but most of the drama seemed to revolve around Georgia Steele’s relationship with Toby Alomolaran. Georgia said she felt she was treated differently than the boys on the show.
“I think it’s a little wrong for boys to do something like that, but it was very frowned upon for girls to meet multiple people at the same time,” she explained. “I feel like that’s a double standard.”
Love Island USA airs on Peacock.
