Lifestyle changes to prevent diabetes: Pune Doctor’s new book features 91 ‘success stories’.pune news

Dr. Jagannath Dixit of Pune, who has been exercising for over 10 years to lose weight and reverse diabetes, has written a book titled “Dr. Dixit Lifestyle: How to Get Diabetes Remission” with stories of Dixit Lifestyle believers. Published “Master Key for.”

In an interview with The Indian Express, Dr. Dikshit recalled one such story, that of Shyam Mendove, professor Latur. Dr Dixit said, “It is important to maintain a proper lifestyle by eating less frequently to lose weight, reduce belly fat and prevent diabetes.” Dr Dixit, chairman of ADORE Trust, said 12,000 patients were registered at 14 diabetes reversal counseling centers in the country.

“We have around 3,000 patients at our centers in Pune, Nashik and Nagpur and our goal is to reverse diabetes in 1,000 patients by August 2025,” Dr Dixit told The Indian Express.

The book was launched on Sunday evening at a program held at Dr. KH Sancheti Auditorium, IMA House. The program was hosted by Diabetes and Obesity Association REversal (ADORE) and Infosys Foundation Diabetes Care Programme.

Dr. Suresh Shinde, Senior Physician, Dr. Jayant Navalanji, Senior Pediatrician and Mr. Pravin Kulkarni, Vice President, Infosys were present on the occasion. At the event, Dr. Suhas Deshpande, a gynecologist from Karad, Dr. Suhas Chaudhary, a pediatrician from Kalyan, and Vittal Thorat, a retired army officer, shared stories about lifestyle modifications. Shatakshi Dasture wrote the book in English, while Dr. Ratnakar Gore and his Dr. Suhasini Bhalerao contributed to the Marathi version.

The book contains 91 stories and, according to Dr. Dixit, it is very important to maintain a lifestyle aimed at reducing body weight, waist circumference, HBA1C, and fasting insulin.

Dr. Jayant Navaranji emphasized on following the simple rules suggested by Dr. Dixit for a better lifestyle. He also emphasized participation in the “90 Day Weight Loss Challenge” hosted by Dr. Dixit and called on everyone to actively participate. “We have supported his ADORE trust because diabetes is better prevented than cured,” adds Pravin Kulkarni of Infosys Foundation.

“According to the report, between 11 and 1.2 million Indians have diabetes, four in 10 have obesity and other problems related to blood pressure, and even teenagers and school-going students Even “diabetic patients” are falling prey to prediabetes and diabetes. Therefore, immediate steps should be taken to curb such a huge challenge before us,” Kulkarni added.
