On August 12, Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Kakar signed the brief on dissolution of the provincial assembly submitted by CM Bizenjo.

According to sources, CM Bizenjo and Sikandar met in Islamabad on Monday night for talks after the dissolution of the Balochistan assembly.

Sources said opposition leader Sikandar suggested the name of former parliamentary engineer Mohammad Usman Badini. However, as the governments did not agree on his name, there was no further discussion or exchange of alternative names, and the talks ended without any results.
