Larry Hogan announces candidacy for U.S. Senate

Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced Friday that he will run for the U.S. Senate.

Hogan plans to run for the seat vacated by Democrat Ben Cardin, a Maryland state senator who has held the office since 2007.
