The Election Commission said it was invoking Article 76(6) of the NOCK Statute, which requires the General Assembly to address election issues, rules and regulations.

The federation in question is the Kenya Swimming Federation (KSF), whose officials are required to attend general meetings and vote in elections, so they sent the names of the two groups to NOCK.
