Kansas City medical student competes in Boston Marathon

Ryan Sorensen, a medical student at the University of Kansas City, is one of 30,000 runners chosen to participate in Monday’s Boston Marathon. “This is definitely one of the happiest moments of my running career in a while,” Sorensen said. Sorensen, who has been running long-distance races for 11 years, acknowledges the importance of the Boston Marathon despite his extensive experience, saying, “I’m definitely excited about the atmosphere of the race.
