iOS 18 is already expected to rely heavily on AI. Still, the iPhone operating system isn’t the only software that uses this technology.according to Purchase AiDomainsApple just secured the iWork.ai domain and teased that the iWork suit may soon return with a focus on artificial intelligence.
The publication highlights that the iWork.ai domain recently became available and was acquired by Apple. Still, when I try to open a web page, nothing happens. Moreover, there is always a possibility that after the company announced some of its new AI features during his WWDC 2024, it purchased the domain to prevent malicious parties from using this page for phishing.
From the early 2000s to the early 2010s, Apple promoted two big suites: iLife and iWork. Over time, the company abandoned these names and focused on the iCloud brand. The iWork suite of apps is still being updated, but the company hasn’t revamped them yet.

These are some of the Apple AI features to expect at WWDC 2024
Among the new iWork AI features are Auto-Summary and Auto-Complete. These were first reported by bloombergMark Garman. This journalist believes that Apple provides these features in core apps and productivity software. Additionally, in iOS 18 he will focus on AI in the following topics:
- Improved playlist creation in Apple Music
- Siri (a major overhaul focused on AI)
- Code completion in new version of Xcode for developers
- AppleCare tools that allow employees to help customers troubleshoot problems
One person who could confirm the arrival of iWork AI is Apple’s CEO himself. During Apple’s first earnings call of the year, Tim Cook did not mention the name of the software. However, he mentioned AI twice and teased upcoming announcements. He did it once during his remarks, right after reminding people on the call about the Vision Pro launch. Cook said Apple is investing “a tremendous amount of time and effort” into AI, with more details to be announced later this year.
I hope Apple adds these AI features

Circle to Search is one of the AI features Apple would like to see added to the iPhone and other products. We have already written about how Google could implement this Samsung Galaxy feature for iPhone users. Still, I think Apple could use some of its built-in features to create even better applications.
Additionally, since the Apple Watch Ultra 2 relies heavily on on-device processing, we like that some Siri queries are faster. At the end of the day, I believe AI is all about context and understanding. If Apple’s Assistant gets significant enhancements on these issues, and everything points to it, Cupertino could find himself competing with OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft for the perfect experience.
My main feature requests are to summarize stories, retrieve relevant information from queries, and improve workflows with on-device processing. And the new iOS 18 concept basically describes what we want from this next operating system update.
summary
As you can see, iWork isn’t the only one getting an AI makeover, iOS 18 and several other Apple products may also receive the artificial intelligence enhancements we’re hoping for.
