APPLE is preparing to release a free iPhone upgrade to millions of people later this year.
But for some unlucky users, there are no fancy new perks.
iOS 18 is expected to be packed with new features powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

Bloomberg Apple expert Mark Garman recently wrote in a newsletter that iOS 18 is “considered internally as one of the biggest iOS updates in the company’s history, if not the biggest.”

AI is a big topic right now, so it’s no surprise that Apple is rumored to be working on its own for the next iPhone update.
Bloomberg’s Garman, who has extensive experience with Apple data breaches, said the generative AI technology “should improve the way both Siri and the Messages app answer questions and autocomplete sentences.” .
Apple is also reportedly considering generative AI features for other apps such as Apple Music, Pages, Keynote, and Xcode.
Apple Music could use AI to create “auto-generated playlists,” according to a report.
According to MacRumors, there’s also talk of new accessibility features like adaptive voice shortcuts that can be categorized and custom font sizes for different apps.
These apps may include Apple’s native Calendar, Finder, Mail, Messages, Notes, Books, News, Stocks, Tips, and Weather.
