Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo today outlined his expectations for the iPhone 16 lineup’s color options, revealing that two existing shades will need to be replaced with two new colors.

Kuo outlined his expectations in a post on X (formerly Twitter) today. He believes the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will come in black, white or silver, gray or “natural titanium,” and rose. This essentially means that the blue titanium option on the iPhone 15 Pro will be discontinued and replaced with a new rose color. This reflects previous rumors originating from China that the existing Blue Titanium color will be removed from the iPhone 16 Pro lineup in favor of a new “Rose” Titanium color.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus appear to be available in black, green, pink, blue, and white. iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are available in black, green, pink, blue, and yellow. This means that white replaces yellow, while the color remains the same.
Kuo pointed out that Apple may change the names of some of its existing colors, like when it changed “white” on the iPhone 12 to “starlight” on the iPhone 13. Similarly, even if a color is not renamed, its actual shade and appearance may appear different. The iPhone 16 lineup will be announced in the fall.
