Thanks to a rumored capture button, the iPhone 16 could add features commonly found on most high-end cameras.
The iPhone 16 isn’t scheduled to be released until September, but leaks are already starting to emerge that give us a clear picture of the upcoming smartphone. According to recent reports, Apple is planning to introduce a new button on its iPhone 16 mobile phones called “Capture Button”. And now a leaker has revealed what that feature is.

iPhone 16 will have a two-step shutter release function
As reported by MacRumors, tipster Instant Digital believes the capture button’s primary function is to trigger image or video capture. However, you can adjust the focus by pressing lightly.
This feature is similar to what most DSLRs and mirrorless cameras have, and is often referred to as a “two-step shutter release.”

Apple is reportedly planning some design changes to incorporate the new buttons. According to previous reports, the capture button may be placed below the power button on the right side of the device. This is expected to be capacitive rather than a standard button, so it can be activated with just a touch.
The iPhone 16 smartphone lineup is likely to see some major upgrades this year. Apple may introduce some AI features to its phones and equip its Pro models with his new A18 Pro chip.
