We already expect Apple to announce the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max later this year, but Apple hasn’t announced the devices yet, likely until September. It won’t be announced. Lots of leaks. Launched around the same time as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models were announced last September, all four of his rumored devices have now appeared online in the form of dummy units.
Dummy units are often used by accessory manufacturers such as case companies to ensure that their products fit new models. It is believed that these companies usually have the exact dimensions of their new phones in advance, and these dummy units are manufactured based on those dimensions.
The dummy unit was shared on the X social network by Sonny Dickson and matches what was said to be expected from previous leaks. The dummy unit clearly shows the rumored capture button on the right side of the iPhone, below the power button, where the mmWave antenna would normally be.
The capture button will be placed flush with the edge of the new iPhone and is expected to offer photographers and videographers a new, quick and easy way to interact with the iPhone’s camera app. You can also expect that third-party apps will also be able to connect to that button.
As for what to expect, the iPhone 16 will feature a 6.1-inch display, while if everything goes as expected, the iPhone 16 Plus will feature a 6.7-inch display. These measurements match the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, but it is believed that things may change when it comes to higher-end models.
Apple is expected to slightly increase the screen size of its top-of-the-line iPhones, according to previous reports. If these reports are correct, Apple will offer the iPhone 16 Pro with a 6.3-inch display and the iPhone 16 Pro Max with a 6.9-inch display. The new iPhones aren’t expected to be significantly larger than previous models, but there will likely be some size differences.
If Apple follows its usual release pace, we can expect to see new iPhones announced in September and available for purchase about 10 days after that. The new iPhone is thought to arrive alongside the rumored Apple Watch X and a newly refreshed Apple Watch Ultra model.
