A month after the iPhone 15 lineup debuted, PerfectRec data found that the 15 Pro was rated lower by owners than the iPhone 13 Pro and 14 Pro. According to this latest report, customer satisfaction with the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max continues to decline, while satisfaction with the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus exceeds that of the high-end models.
PerfectRec’s latest report consists of approximately 700,000 user-generated Google reviews, and the new data will likely exceed that number.
Continuing with the same methodology, PerfectRec measured what percentage of iPhone 15/Pro user reviews received a 5/5 star rating.
Interestingly, the two Pro models have declined since September, when early adopters got their hands on high-end smartphones. And the more affordable iPhone 15 and 15 Plus improved customer satisfaction. Usually, pro models are rated higher than base models, but not this time.
Starting at 73.5% in September, 66.1% of iPhone 15 Pro reviews now give it 5/5 stars. On the iPhone 15 Pro Max, that percentage increased from 77% to 72.5%.
In contrast, the iPhone 15’s 5/5 star rating increased from 68.2% to 78.1%, and the 15 Plus increased from 70% to 73.5%.

iPhone 15 devices experienced overheating issues for several weeks after launch, which were fixed in the iOS 17.0.3 update. This certainly caused some disappointment among early buyers, with it appearing in “15% of all negative reviews” in October.
However, according to PerfectRec, the top three complaints about the iPhone 15 Pro in the past 30 days are:
- short battery life
- Incremental upgrade from iPhone 14 Pro
- Disappointed by physical design and camera lens protrusion
User reviews by month and model are as follows.

What do you think? Which iPhone 15 do you have? How was the battery life? What do you think about the improvements compared to iPhone 14 and 13? Share your thoughts in the comments!
