Apple released iOS17.4 Updated on March 5th with new features including: podcast transcript more Stolen device protection options,to you iPhone. The previous release (iOS 17.2 in December) introduced the following long-awaited features: diary app and the ability to disable Inline predictive text In iMessage.

When Apple was launched iOS17 In September, one of the new features was inline predictive text. This will predict what you’ll write as you type (though not always accurately) and automatically add the suggested text when you press the spacebar. However, if you accidentally press space and the feature’s message is incorrect, you may need to delete that word or phrase and start over. Some people, myself included, found this feature annoying, but it looks like Apple has listened to their complaints and allowed them to turn it off in iOS 17.2.
Here’s how to turn off inline predictive text:
Turn off inline predictive text
1. Open setting
2. Tap general
3. Tap keyboard
Four. Tap the switch next to Display predictions inline
Now, when you type your message, you don’t risk adding words you didn’t mean to add. Predictive text, suggested words, and emojis will still appear on your keyboard.
Turn off all predictive text

All of these suggestions can be turned off in a few simple steps.
If you find all the predictive text annoying, you can easily turn it off as well. Here’s how:
1. Open setting
2. Tap general
3. Tap keyboard
Four. Tap the switch next to predictive text
When you type your message here, no boxes with word or emoji suggestions appear on your keyboard. Turning off predictive text also disables inline predictive text, so you won’t see any suggestions. You can type without interruption.
