Apple released iOS17.3 Updated on January 22 with new features including: Stolen device protection and collaborative playlist For iPhone users. The update also includes several bug fixes and security patches, including one that Apple said could be actively exploited.

Apple says iOS 17.3 patches more than a dozen security issues and bugs. One of these patches is for his WebKit, the internet browser engine used by Safari developed by Apple.

Apple writes that WebKit processes maliciously crafted web content that may lead to the execution of arbitrary code. According to IT services company Okta, this means third parties could steal your data or hack your device for other illicit purposes.
The iOS 17.3 patch also addresses other issues, including an issue with Safari where users’ private browsing information could be visible in settings. However, Apple wrote that none of these other issues were actively exploited.
