After months of beta testing, Hulu on Disney+ officially launches today, and you can now see a new app icon on Android.
Announced today, Hulu on Disney+ is now officially supported for all Disney Bundle subscribers in the United States. This adds Hulu content to the Disney+ app and allows you to see recommendations within the regular Disney+ experience.
Disney explains:
Bundle subscribers now get the complete Hulu experience on Disney+, including Hulu content integrated into recommendations, sets, and collections across Disney+, discover thousands of popular entertainment titles, and enjoy Hulu and makes it easy to explore the breadth and depth of Disney+ content.
Hulu is technically still a separate subscription from Disney+, but the two are now bundled together within the same app.
To commemorate this change, the Disney+ logo and “mnemonic” (the sound that accompanies the logo animation when you launch the app) have been updated. The new logo uses the colors of “Aurora,” mixing Disney+’s blue with Hulu’s iconic green, and is also “an homage to Princess Aurora.”
The new Disney+ icon appeared across Apple platforms last week, and now boot Appears on Android and Google TV.
Notably, however, the new logo is only rolling out on the Disney+ Hotstar version of the app for now, and won’t work in the US (the only region with Hulu integration). The standard app has not been updated yet.
