Sync your key numbers with your Android smartwatch

The number associated with your smartwatch is for AT&T billing and support purposes only. You can’t make calls, receive text messages, or use data. To do this, you need to associate your phone plan’s primary number with your watch through AT&T’s NumberSync. service. This allows you to answer calls, send texts, and use data even when your phone is not nearby or turned off.

AT&T creates a cloud inbox as part of the NumberSync process (if you don’t have one). This will automatically sync messages between your phone and watch.

Set AT&T Messages Backup and Sync to use your smartphone number instead of your smartwatch’s billing and support numbers.

If you have a Samsung smartwatch, download and install the Samsung Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. LG users can get his Wear OS app on their phones. Both are available from the Google Play Store.
