Leaders of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees on Tuesday asked the Justice Department for access to evidence collected against former business associates of Hunter Biden who were convicted of bribery.

In the letter to Garland, Ho was described as a “close business associate of Hunter Biden,” and the two Republicans also said the Justice Department tried to keep Ho’s eldest son out of the proceedings. claims.
“Information obtained by the committee indicates that prosecutors sought to keep Biden’s name out of Mr. Ho’s trial,” Jordan and Comer wrote. “This material is directly relevant to the House impeachment inquiry.”
The committee chairs told the Ministry of Justice that Mr. Ho and Serbian politician Vuk Jeremić had a conversation with CEFC Chairman Yeh Jianming, and that “Jeremic was willing to take him out to dinner.” They are demanding that unedited emails regarding a person be turned over.
Lawmakers allege that the individuals’ names were redacted in court because the Justice Department claimed the names could “bring a political dimension to this case.”
“Other communications and documents obtained by the committee strongly suggest that the person in question is Hunter Biden,” the letter states.
Mr Jordan and Mr Comer also requested access to the contents of Mr Ho’s confiscated iPad.
