The Texas Rangers will honor decades of team artifacts inside Globe Life Field on Wednesday, including the baseball that pitcher Josh Sborz used to strike out Arizona’s Ketel Marte in the 2023 World Series Finals. The exhibits to be exhibited were announced.
Rangers organized and designed the exhibition with support from Heritage Works, the club’s archival services company. All objects are from the Rangers Vault, the team’s archive.
According to the Texas Rangers, the exhibit commemorates the team’s first World Series victory and honors the only MLB All-Star Game ever played in Arlington.
Baseball Hall of Famer Ivan Rodriguez and longtime team executive John Blake unveil three display cases at Arlington Ballpark featuring artifacts and photos from the 2023 World Series and 1995 All-Star Game. did.
The 2023 World Series Champions’ lawsuit includes:
- The baseball used by Josh Sborz to strike out Ketel Marte in the 2023 World Series Finals
- Official Rangers lineup card for Game 5 of the 2023 World Series
- Jersey worn by Corey Seager in Game 1 of the 2023 World Series (tying home run in the 9th inning)
- Bat used by Adris Garcia in the 2023 World Series
Here’s what’s on display at the 1995 All-Star Game:
- AL and NL Manager Lineup Cards – The 1995 ASG roster featured 17 future Hall of Famers.
- Home plate, pitcher’s rubber, and base used in the 1995 All-Star Game.
- 1995 All-Star MLB Trophy presented to Jeff Conine of the Florida Marlins
- Baseball signed by the 1995 AL All-Star team
The exhibit is located in the southeast entrance lobby of Globe Life Field and will be visible during all Rangers home games this season. Additionally, public tours of Globe Life Field are expected to end there.
