GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Spring is here, which means babies are on the way.
Greensboro Science Center announces the birth of two serval kittens. These babies were born on March 20th to parents Kira and Tutankhamun. According to GSC, there is one boy and one girl, and the mother, Kira, and the babies are doing well.
They are asking the public to Help me name the lovely pair! Voting closes at the end of Tuesday, April 9th, and names will be announced the following day.
For girls, you can choose one of the following:
- Persephone (Greek goddess of spring)
- Augura (pronounced oo-gra. It’s the name of a character from “The Dark Crystal.” She looks like her mom, Kira!)
- Clover
For boys, the options are:
- Shango (African god of thunder and lightning)
- Zephyr (short form of Greek god of spring Zephyr)
- Aries (zodiac sign corresponding to spring)
You can vote here!
Servals are medium-sized African cats, typically weighing between 20 and 40 pounds, with long legs, large ears, and a spotted coat.
