Google’s new update surpasses Apple iPhone features on Android phones

What do you use your phone for? Surfing the web, playing games, launching your favorite apps, watching videos, etc.? Perhaps this is the case with telephones, although this is quite an old-fashioned practice? Whatever your preferences, you’ll probably also use your phone to pay for purchases or present your boarding pass or event ticket. So we’re talking about Google Wallet, but it just added a new feature that iPhone Wallet doesn’t have: automatic addition of linked passes.

9to5Google’s Abner Li revealed that this new feature is in the works. That’s natural. One of the most satisfying ways to use your smartphone is to tap your smartphone to pay with your card reader or present your boarding pass at the airport. It’s much easier than searching for your wallet or finding that flimsy piece of paper the airline gave you. In the strange world of airports, there’s a lot to think about, but tracking your phone is enough.

Google Wallet may lag behind Apple Wallet in this regard. This is simply because many tickets, passes, etc. are not available in Google’s preferred format. This has changed (with the addition of some great new features).

Now, Google is adding the option to link paths. You can choose your wallet settings by opening Google Wallet and clicking on your profile details in the top right corner. There is now a completely new item on the page, with the heading “Path”. This is on by default, and its wording says, “Enables pass providers to automatically add relevant event tickets, promotions, benefits, etc. to existing passes.”

what do you mean? The link is not published yet, so clicking “More details” won’t give you an answer.

But as explained in Google’s background, the effects of this new element are: “With the automatic link path feature, [the developer] Send additional passes to users who already have an existing pass in Google Wallet. ” In other words, if, for example, you have a loyalty card on your phone and suddenly there is a new offer, you can automatically send it to your wallet. Similarly, if your boarding pass has a meal voucher option, we can deliver your meal voucher.

With the right offer, this could be a very useful addition, but it doesn’t seem to be available in Apple’s Wallet yet. You can share a pass from one iPhone to another, but the pass provider cannot update the pass in this way.

Other new elements in the app include public transit authentication settings, where your phone will automatically search for your transit payment card first and only if it doesn’t find a credit or debit card. It will now be sent to your card. Your transport card is activated without authentication, speeding up your interactions on public transport. This feature appeared in his late March.
