The latest version of Android Photo Picker is more secure, aesthetically pleasing, and provides a more consistent way to attach media to your apps. Since we’ve been using this feature for about a year now, many of you are getting used to it and have probably discovered its biggest limitations as well.
Android’s photo picker only displayed media on the device or local media. This limitation meant that you could only select photos and videos stored on your device, not from Google Photos’ vast library, which grows with each device. That should change soon.
Google today announced that the Android Photo Picker will now have a new cloud photo feature, allowing selected cloud media apps to suggest media to share within the app. First, Google Photos is the only option, but Google is open to pilot programs and other cloud media apps that want to join the effort.
Once this is deployed to your device (included in the February Google System Update for Android 12 and above), you’ll see “Cloud Media Settings.” setting Choose your favorite media app. Again, it’s just Google Photos for now. Google also said it will initially “try to auto-select” preferred apps.
The cloud media app (Google Photos) is integrated and selects media from the photo picker.[アルバム]Add options to the tab. From there, you’ll find your favorites, specific albums, and more. This could be an album from a trip you took (see above).
