Google continues testing ‘Help me create a list’ on Android

Google took Gemini Workspace’s first set of features out of preview for personal accounts earlier this week. “Help me create a list” is currently being tested in Google Keep.

This generative AI feature “helps you jumpstart shopping lists, to-do lists, packing lists, and more.” When viewing this on Android, the first thing you’ll see is a “Welcome to Workspace Labs” prompt that explains the test. It shows.

When you open a new Google Keep note, the message “Help me create a list” appears as a wide FAB (floating action button). Then a prompt field will appear and proceed from there. for example:

• “List of things to bring for a summer camping trip for two kids”
• “Classic movies to watch on Halloween”
• “Spring Cleaning Checklist for a Two-Bedroom Apartment”
• “A week’s worth of groceries for a vegetarian family of three.”

Google encourages users to provide more details for better results, but users can provide up/down feedback.

List creation joins ‘Help me write in Gmail’ as the only Gemini feature for mobile. All other features are exclusive to the Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet web apps.

Meanwhile, Google continues its Workspace Labs program, testing features like side panels before releasing them to Workspace customers and Google One AI Premium.
