Google recently announced the Gemini Android app. This gives Android users the option to switch from Google Assistant to Gemini and make it the default girlfriend AI helper on their phones. However, it appears that Google is preparing to retire Assistant completely and replace it with Gemini.
If you don’t already have the Google Assistant app on your Android, download it now from the Play Store and get Gemini AI by default. The app icon also says Gemini instead of Google Assistant. What’s strange is that if you also download the standalone Gemini Android app, you’ll see two instances of Gemini in your list of apps.
