The Milwaukee Bucks have done everything they can to keep cornerstone superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo happy over the past few years. This includes having two brothers on the roster, even though neither of them play such an important role on the team.
But for now, the Antetokounmpo trio has been reduced to a duo, as the Bucks have decided to release 22-year-old Alex Antetokounmpo from the roster.

Technically, Alex is not on the Bucks’ roster this season. He spends most of his time with Milwaukee’s NBA G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, where he appeared in 16 games this year. During that span, the 6-foot-8 forward was able to average 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
But on February 14, Hurd decided to buy out Alex’s contract (Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel). Antetokounmpo’s youngest brother is now back in Europe, reportedly signing with Lithuanian club M Basket Delamode.
Alex will follow in the footsteps of his older brother Kostas, who currently trades with Panathinaikos in Greece. Of course, Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo will remain in the United States with the Bucks.
However, at 22 years old, Alex still has plenty of potential to make it to the NBA in the future. For now, he will have to hone his skills in the Lithuanian Basketball League.
