Garmin’s latest beta update brings lots of new features to its smartwatches

-Fixed an issue with the number of ski runs in Last Sport Glance.

– Fixed issue with altimeter glance when in large font mode.

– Fixed an issue with the morning report workout page.

– Fixed an issue with some watch face data fields.

– Fixed a potential issue where the touch screen would become completely non-functional after display wake-up.

– Fixed potential issue with weather map overlay.

-Fixed possible shutdown issue with morning report.

– Fixed an issue where the main battery widget could shut down when viewed near midnight.

– Fixed an issue that could cause a shutdown when loading activity history with auto-lock enabled.

– Improved access to additional characters on touch keyboards by adding long press options for some keys.

– Improved “Find My Phone” alert prompt UI.



Garmin Fenix ​​7 series owners should avoid this beta.

Garmin notes that this beta update will disable the Fenix ​​7 series’ ECG (electrocardiogram) functionality. Therefore, if you own any model in the lineup and rely on frequent ECG checks, it is wise to avoid this particular update.

However, when the beta version reaches its final stage, i.e. just before the software is ready to stabilize, users will be able to use ECG on the Fenix ​​7 series. In Garmin’s words, unless there are fundamental bugs in the new beta software, the ECG should function normally on the remaining compatible models.
