Full specs of iPhone SE 4 leak: Apple A16 Bionic, MagSafe and more

And now, a new leak has surfaced online revealing the specifications of the next low-cost iPhone. For those who don’t know, the upcoming Apple iPhone SE 4 is expected to be a big leap forward in the SE lineup. In addition to the redesigned appearance, there are also hardware enhancements. So, let’s take a closer look at each aspect of the upcoming phone based on the latest leaks.

This leak was reported by Ithome and sourced from Nguyen Phi Hung. They have shared the complete specifications of the smartphone on Twitter. It includes not only the processor, but also small details such as weight and dimensions. So, let’s discuss each segment of the upcoming phone below based on the latest leaks.

The leak reveals that the iPhone SE 4 will have dimensions of 148.5 x 71.2 x 7.8 mm. The weight of the main unit is 166g. For comparison, the previous generation iPhone SE weighed 144g, and the next model is 20g heavier than the previous generation. Moving on to the build quality, the phone features 7000 series aluminum alloy and non-ceramic shield glass on the front and back.

The leaker states that the front of the device will resemble the iPhone 13 with FaceID, while the back will resemble the XR. This statement also matches previous leaks of the iPhone SE 4 case cover.

iPhone SE 4 will be equipped with a 6.1-inch LTPS OLED 60Hz panel. For comparison, the SE 3 had a 4.7-inch display. Therefore, the display size will increase significantly.

iPhone SE 4 will have one shooter on the back. IMX503, 1/2.55 inch, f/1.8 sensor. According to the leaker, it will support 1080P cinematic mode, deep fusion, smart HDR, AI scene shooting, and portrait mode. Unfortunately, low-end iPhones will no longer feature night mode again.

Powering the phone is the Apple A16 Bionic chip. It will also have a Qualcomm Snapdragon X70 baseband and an Apple U1 UWB chip. For comparison, the iPhone SE 3 had an Apple A15 Bionic chipset. However, the A16 Bionic is also used in the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, so its performance will not reduce the cost of budget smartphones. Speaking of memory, it features 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/512GB NVMe storage options.

Although the leaker did not reveal the exact battery capacity, he hinted at a battery in the 3000mAh range. It supports 20W charging and 12W MagSafe wireless charging. Other than that, the phone features Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB-C interface 2.0.
