Most Android smartphone manufacturers sell smartphones with unique user interfaces that offer additional customization and other useful features. However, if you like clean, smooth stock Android, your options may be quite limited. From Google to Motorola, we’ll show you the best smartphones at different price points that offer standard or near-standard Android experiences.

The Nokia G42 (review) is a low-cost smartphone running almost stock Android 13. It is powered by the Snapdragon 480+ 5G chipset and also features a 6.56-inch LCD screen that offers HD+ resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate.

The plastic rear panel sports a triple camera setup on paper, consisting of a 50MP primary shooter, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has an 8MP front camera. It comes with 128GB of internal storage and up to 6GB of RAM, and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W wired charging.

The phone features what Nokia calls a “QuickFix design,” which allows users to repair their devices at home if they have the parts and tools. The basic version of this phone with 4GB RAM is priced at Rs 12,499, but you can find it at a lower price on popular e-commerce platforms.

Do you need a mid-range phone that offers a near-par Android experience with a curved display? The Lava Agni 2 (Review) might just meet all your needs. Powered by the Dimensity 7050 chipset, which is also found in devices like Oppo Reno 11 and the recently launched Realme Narzo 70 Pro, this phone handles everyday tasks with ease and offers a lag-free experience .

Celebration benefits

It runs on Android 13, with Lava promising an update to Android 14. Lava Agni 2 comes in only one version with 256GB internal storage and 8GB RAM. On the back, there is a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro sensor, and 2MP depth lens.

All this is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 66W charging. The only downsides are some software bugs and the phone only has one speaker. It is currently available on Amazon for Rs 17,999, making it one of the most cost-effective devices in its segment.

Over the years, Motorola has made impressive phones that offer a pristine, clean Android experience. The recently launched Edge 50 Pro (review) is no exception. It runs on a slightly modified version of Android 14 called HelloUI and has some AI-powered features such as a wallpaper generator.

The IP68 water and dust resistant phone features a 6.70-inch 144Hz pOLED screen with 2,000 nits peak brightness and is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. The back is made of soft vegan leather, giving it a luxurious look and feel. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is equipped with a 50MP primary camera along with his 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 13MP ultrawide shooter.

This camera may not be the best for the asking price, but it takes good photos day and night. The device is powered by a 4,500mAh battery and supports 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. However, the wireless charger must be purchased separately.

If you’re looking for a mid-range phone that offers a clean user interface and a premium look and feel, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a good buy. Prices start from Rs 31,999, but we recommend the 12GB version. It is priced at Rs 35,999 and comes with a 125W charger.

If you’re not a fan of Motorola’s phones, consider checking out the Pixel 7 (review), which has a slightly smaller screen but a much better camera setup. Powered by the Tensor G2 chipset, Pixel 7 ships with Android 13 out of the box. It has a 6.3-inch OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3Victus.

Pixel 7 comes with a dual camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The Pixel 7 may not win the megapixel war, but the device takes very good photos in broad daylight and low light.

Compared to other smartphones, the Pixel 7 has a 4,300mAh battery, which is okay considering it also has a smaller screen. However, for unknown reasons, charging speed is limited to 20W. If you’re looking for a smartphone that offers a standard Android experience without breaking the bank, the Pixel 7 is a good buy. It is available to purchase from Flipkart and is priced starting at Rs 37,999.

Pixel 8 Pro (review) is Google’s newest and most powerful smartphone to date. Powered by the Tensor G3 chipset, the company promises seven years of Android updates and security patches.

It features a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED screen, is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and is also IP68 water and dust resistant, so you can wash your phone without a second thought. As with the latest Pixel devices, you’ll also have access to exclusive Google features like Best Take, Photo Unblur, and Live HDR+.

The device has a 50MP primary camera, along with a 48MP telephoto lens and a 48MP ultrawide shooter. All cameras take great photos day and night, making them one of the best camera phones of all time.

However, the 5,050mAh battery is limited to 30W wired charging, which isn’t bad by any means, but is relatively slow compared to other options in its price range. If you’re looking for a flagship smartphone that will last almost a decade, the Pixel 8 Pro is an easy choice. Prices start from Rs 1,03,999.
