Find My Device now shows your family’s Android devices

Google has made it easier to find devices used by children in your family with an update to its Find My Device app.

Google updated its Find My Device app yesterday for the first time since the network began rolling out, and while there’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes to prepare for UWB-powered trackers, there are also some cosmetic changes that not everyone will immediately notice.

The Find My Device app now has a dedicated tab for viewing Family Devices.

This does not include devices such as trackers that are shared among family members, but does include Android devices that fall under a child’s supervised account. A new section, enabled by default in Find My Device v3.1.078-1, displays the child’s name, followed by a list of their devices.

The Tab is called a “family device,” only View devices connected to supervised accounts that you manage.
