A video of a European student living in the US highlighting a question that shows Americans “don’t have a clue” about parts of Europe has gone viral on TikTok.

The clip was posted by @tovasabel and has been viewed over 883,000 times since it was first shared on January 27th. In the video, a woman can be seen looking into the camera and saying, “Top 3 worst things Americans who live and go to school in Europe have asked me.” America”

The woman went on to reveal her top three questions, including “Do you speak European?” and Americans “seriously consider Europe to be one country.”

The second “worst” question was “Do you eat pizza there?” Americans “obviously don’t realize that modern pizza originally came from Europe, i.e. Italy.” she stated.

The woman pointed out that she is from Sweden and said the third question she gets asked is “not how to say Sweden in Swedish, but how to pronounce it.” The woman explained that the Swedish word for the country is different from the country’s English name, and said Americans “can’t wrap their heads around countries that have names in other languages.”

According to a June 2021 Pew Research Center survey, Americans may believe that they clearly lack knowledge about other countries because they have never traveled abroad. Most Americans have traveled abroad at least once.

The survey found that 71% of U.S. adults have traveled abroad at some point in their lives, and about a quarter (27%) have never traveled abroad.

Americans vary in their level of travel, with 19% reporting having been to only one country, 12% reporting having been to two countries, 15% visiting three or four countries, and 14% reporting having been to only one country. It is reported that he has been to five to nine countries. According to the survey, only 11% of Americans reported having been to more than 10 countries.

The study also found that income also plays a key role in who travels and how much they travel, with those with the highest incomes “significantly more likely” to have visited multiple countries.

“I still choose to go to school and live here.”

In the latest viral clip, the European student said: “I hope no one is offended. This actually happened, but I still want to go to school and live here.” I made the choice.”
