Daniela Klett, 65, was arrested in her Berlin apartment on Monday afternoon after being on the run for 30 years as part of an extremist group.
German authorities said Tuesday that a former member of an armed group suspected of taking part in a series of robberies has been arrested after more than 30 years on the run.

Investigators said they were led to her by a tip they received from the public in November, but did not provide further details. Klett is one of three former Red Army faction members that police have been searching for for years. She, Ernst-Volker Staub, and Burkhard Gerweg are accused of being involved in 12 robberies and attempted murders in northern Germany between 1999 and 2016.
Authorities suspect the motive for the robbery was not political, but rather to finance an underground lifestyle. De Vries said a second arrest was made on Tuesday, but the man’s identity remains unknown.
