Tennessee State Comptroller Jason Mumpower is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Mink as the Small Business Advocate within the Tennessee State Comptroller’s Office.
Mink has been with the Comptroller’s Office since 2022, working in both the State Audit and Executive Branches. She previously worked as a Legislative Assistant in the Tennessee General Assembly and as a communications professional in the private sector.
As a Small Business Advocate (SBA), Mink helps owners of businesses with 50 or fewer employees interact with state government. The SBA provides information and answers questions for Tennesseans who are starting or already own a small business. The SBA also helps resolve issues between small business owners and state departments and agencies.
“Tennessee’s small businesses are the backbone of our state’s economy,” said Comptroller Jason Mumpower. “I am confident Rebecca will help small business owners cut through government red tape so they can focus on serving their customers, taking care of their employees and building their businesses.”
“I am excited for the opportunity to serve Tennessee small business owners,” said Rebecca Mink. “Tennessee is a great place to start and run a business, and I am pleased to be able to assist small business owners in their interactions with state government.”
The state Legislature created the Office of the Small Business Advocate in 2010 in an effort to make government work better for Tennessee small business owners.
