BILOXI, Miss. (WKRG) — CoastCon 46, “Mississippi’s longest-running and largest science fiction, fantasy, and gaming convention,” according to its website, will be held this weekend.
This event will be held from Friday, March 1st through Sunday, March 3rd at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center.

- Saturday, March 2nd: From 10am to midnight
- Sunday March 3rd: From 10am to 5pm
This event is a major sponsored event of CoastCon, Inc., a nonprofit literacy organization that promotes reading, education, fellowship, science fiction and fantasy, and gaming in the southern United States.
Attendees can participate in activities such as an art show and auction, a Saturday costume contest, an evening dance party, and writing, art, animation, games, science fiction, and more.
Convention attendees can also meet featured guests such as actors, artists, and authors.

Same-day tickets for adults (15 years and older) are as follows:
- 3 days/weekend: $55
- Friday: $35
- Saturday: $50
- Sunday: $35
Youth/Junior (ages 9-14) tickets are available for purchase for $25, and children under 6 may attend the convention for free with a valid adult membership.
Military members, veterans, and first responders (including active duty and veterans) can get a $10 ticket with a valid ID.
