Eco Canada We are proud to announce the reaccreditation of Carleton University’s B.Sc. Honours Environmental Science degree.

CALGARY, Alberta, June 04, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ECO Canada accreditation confirms that Carleton University’s Environmental Science degree is aligned with the National Accreditation Standards (NAS) for post-secondary programs and aligns with National Occupational Standards (NOS) and labour market requirements. This reaccreditation is recognition of Carleton University’s ability to equip graduates with in-demand skills and the skills necessary to enter the labour market as environmental professionals.

Through high-quality lectures, practical courses and field experiments, Carleton graduates demonstrate competency in areas such as water resource management, fish and wildlife ecology, ecosystem restoration, sustainable resource extraction, environmental monitoring and environmental policy, as well as a commitment to addressing complex, interdisciplinary environmental and conservation problems.

Graduates immediately Environmental Professional Trainee (EPt) Upon graduation, students can earn a certification through ECO Canada. As students in a certification program, they also: Environmental Professional (EP®) Recertification is possible with only four years of environmental work experience instead of the five years normally required, and it allows the program to keep pace with trends and skills required for the modern workforce and continually promotes proactive, continuous improvement toward quality education, accountability, and public trust.

We expect that graduates of Carleton University’s Environmental Science Honours degree will make fundamental contributions to these fields.
