We’ve all been there. Perhaps you’re in a meeting and enjoy some quiet time, or maybe you just don’t feel like chatting. But suddenly my iPhone starts ringing and won’t stop ringing.
Fortunately, the days of desperately fumbling to silence your iPhone are over. Send callers to voicemail instantly with a quick tap.

You can send iPhone calls directly to voicemail using several different methods. We will explain each method.
Voicemail icon shortcut

When you receive an incoming call, a voicemail icon will appear on the right side of your screen.

Tap the voicemail icon to immediately stop your iPhone ringing. Meanwhile, the caller will be forwarded to your voicemail.
silence the ringer

When you receive a call, press the Sleep/Wake/Power button on the side of your iPhone.
These aforementioned solutions complement an iOS 17 feature called Live Voicemail, which transcribes voicemail messages when the caller leaves. If you prefer, you can also answer the phone while the message is being transcribed.
However, if you don’t want to be bothered at all, try Do Not Disturb mode by following the steps below.

open control center Swipe down from the top-right corner of the home screen (on Face ID devices) or up from the bottom of the home screen (on devices with a home button).

Tap. crescent moon icon to enable silent mode. When activated, all incoming calls will be routed to voicemail without warning.
