The co-founder of a popular Dorset festival has released a new book.
Camp Bestival co-founders Rosie and Rob Da Bank share their ideas for bringing the festival lifestyle into the home in their book Camp Bestival at Home.
The pair have poured all their inspiration into Camp Bestival at Home, allowing families who love the festival, which takes place at Lulworth Castle every summer, to live that lifestyle every day.
“We’ve taken everything that’s great about Camp Bestival and spending time with the family and put it all together in a book of ideas for bringing the festival life to your home all year round,” the duo say. “We hope that Camp Bestival at Home will be the perfect handbook for parents who want to bring the Camp Bestival lifestyle into their own home.”
“Whether you’ve been to Camp Bestival and seen it for yourself, or haven’t been able to yet, don’t worry – we’ve got something for the whole family. Organized by season and packed with activities, recipes and ideas, there’s something the whole family can enjoy all year round. It takes readers back to nature for all the fun, from campfire cooking and singing to stargazing.”
“A kitchen disco with bestie Sophie, foraging for ingredients, circus tricks and grown-up meditations from Rob, plus inspiring creativity from Josie who’s more than capable of wielding a paintbrush.”
The pair also invited some family friends and regulars from Camp Bestival, including Fat Boy Slim, Sara Cox, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Fearne Cotton and Joe Whiley.
The festival is now in its 18th year in Dorset and will have a sister festival in Shropshire from 2022.
Camp Bestival will have an alien and space theme and will take place at Lulworth Castle from July 25 to July 28. Headliners include Pete Tong Ibiza Classics, Jules Buckley & The Essential Orchestra, Paloma Faith and McFly.
New additions for 2024 include Space Camp, Planetarium, Wall Climbing, Rock School, Art Town, Figure Drawing and various workshops within Fashion & Textile World.
Camp Bestival at Home, by Ebury Press and published by Penguin, is on sale now priced at £15.
