Fish market relocated

East Young Fish and Seafood Co. in Longview plans to move into a new building almost directly across the street.

Ron Yorn, who owns the store with his wife, Lynna, said he is moving because the lease at its current location, 2000 S. High St., Suite B, was not renewed. The business was founded over 30 years ago, but he has been the owner for several years. The store sells catfish, crawfish, shrimp, and more.

He owns the building that houses the donut shop at 1901 S. High St. and plans to add an addition to the building. The new location will actually consist of two businesses. On the one hand, it will sell take-home food such as fried fish and shrimp, hamburgers, and buffalo wings. On the other side will be a fish market.

Yong said he hopes to start construction by the end of this month. The current location will remain open during the construction period.

Mall stores closed

Cheapo’s Bargain Bins at Longview Mall has announced it will close this month.

The store opened in 2023, following the popular store style of selling closeout items and returns. New items arrive in the store every week, and the prices of items gradually decrease.

Cheapo’s Bargain Bins are kicking off the month with a 20% off sale, with increasing discounts each week until the end of April 30th.
