While the Android world has Google I/O for all the latest software updates released to smartphones, iPhone fans have Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). We now know when WWDC 2024 will be held.

Apple typically screens pre-recorded keynotes at the beginning of conferences. This will be the most important time for the show, as it will undoubtedly include the official announcement of iOS 18 among other software updates for Apple products.
iOS 18 is expected to be available in beta shortly after the keynote. From there, it will be tested by developers for several months before being rolled out to all supported iPhones. Ultimately, the iPhone 16 series will launch with iOS 18 from the start.
Hardware announcements may also be made at WWDC. Most notably, the Vision Pro was announced at his WWDC last year, along with the newly updated MacBook Air.
