Apple iPhone 15 Pro vs Xiaomi 14: Design
Both devices are made of metal and glass. Well, the Xiaomi 14 also comes with a vegan leather backplate, but that model is also available in China. We’ll focus on the global variant here. Both devices have flat sides but are slightly curved towards the edges. Both phones feature flat displays and nearly flat backplates. However, despite their similarities, they feel different in the hand.
The iPhone 15 Pro’s display has a pill-shaped notch and very thin, uniform bezels. Xiaomi 14 has a central display camera hole and very thin and uniform bezels. The bezels on Xiaomi 14 are slightly thinner. Flip it over and you’ll see that the camera islands are different but in the same location. It’s located in the upper left corner of the back. Inside the iPhone 15 Pro, there’s a noticeable setup that doesn’t line up properly, or even exactly. The Xiaomi 14 has two sensors in one row, only three of which are cameras, but the second one in the top row is actually an LED flash.
The iPhone 15 Pro has physical buttons on the left and right sides. All physical buttons on Xiaomi 14 are located on the right side. The iPhone 15 Pro is shorter and narrower in comparison, which is to be expected since it has a smaller display. The two phones are about the same thickness and are also very similar in terms of weight. The iPhone 15 Pro weighs 187 grams, and the Xiaomi 14 weighs 193 grams.
Both devices are IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. Both have a luxurious feel and are very easy to hold. It’s actually very slippery, so be careful. Using a case may also be a good choice.
Apple iPhone 15 Pro vs Xiaomi 14: Display
iPhone 15 Pro has a 6.1-inch 2556 x 1179 LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display. This display is flat and has a 120Hz refresh rate (adaptive). It supports HDR10 content and also supports Dolby Vision. This panel has a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits. The screen-to-body ratio is approximately 88%, and the display aspect ratio is 19.5:9. Ceramic Shield glass protects this panel.

The Xiaomi 14, on the other hand, comes with a 6.36-inch 2670 x 1200 LTPO OLED panel. This display is also flat and has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Dolby Vision is supported here, as is HDR10+ content. Theoretically, the maximum brightness you can achieve with this panel is 3,000 nits. The screen-to-body ratio of Xiaomi 14 is around 89%, and the display aspect ratio is 20:9. Gorilla Glass Victus protects this panel.
Both displays look great. Both are sharp, have excellent viewing angles, and are more than adequate. Both panels have deep blacks, very thin surrounding bezels, and are very responsive to touch. The Xiaomi 14’s panel is technically a little brighter, but you’ll likely be happy with the brightness of both panels no matter where you are.
Apple iPhone 15 Pro vs Xiaomi 14: Performance
iPhone 15 Pro is powered by the Apple A17 Pro processor. This is his 3nm chip, the most powerful chip for Apple’s smartphones. The phone also has 8GB of RAM and NVMe flash storage. Xiaomi 14 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage. Both are very well-stocked in terms of performance-related specs, but the Xiaomi 14 has the edge in the RAM and storage department.
We all know that iOS and Android function differently, so that’s not necessarily a big deal. You’ll find that both smartphones perform well no matter what you throw at them. In a normal day-to-day performance scenario, you’ll jump over everything that’s thrown at you. Both launch apps very quickly and are great for multimedia consumption, browsing, taking and processing images, and everything else you can think of.
Actually, the same thing can be said for games. These two phones can handle just fine, even when launching the most demanding games, and this is not surprising. The problem is that it gets quite warm after long gaming sessions. But don’t worry, it never got too hot for us to handle. Please note that it may feel quite hot in your hands when playing for long periods of time. But it doesn’t affect performance. At least that wasn’t the case in our case.
Apple iPhone 15 Pro vs Xiaomi 14: Battery
The Apple iPhone 15 Pro has a 3,274mAh battery. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 packs a 4,610mAh battery. The two operating systems on these phones handle battery life differently, so you shouldn’t be too shocked by this difference. In addition to that, the iPhone 15 Pro’s display is smaller than his two models. Both are good in terms of battery life, but I noticed that the Xiaomi 14 performs a little better.
The iPhone 15 Pro has proven that surpassing the 6-hour screen-on time mark is possible and even easier. The same is true for the Xiaomi 14, but for the 7 hours screen on time mark. When it comes to battery life, we found the Xiaomi 14 to be consistently better. Games, especially demanding games, have a considerable impact on both smartphones, but that’s true for almost all smartphones. Please note that. However, if you’re not a gamer, both phones have better battery life. Of course, your mileage may always vary.
When it comes to charging, the Xiaomi 14 completely destroys the iPhone 15 Pro. Supports 90W wired, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. A 90W charger is also included. iPhone 15 Pro supports 20W wired charging, 15W MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging, 7.5W Qi charging, and 4.5W reverse wired charging. The Xiaomi 14’s charger is much faster wirelessly than the iPhone 15 Pro charges wired. With 90W charging on the Xiaomi 14, the difference becomes even more noticeable. Also, unlike the Xiaomi 14, the iPhone 15 Pro does not include a charger in the box.
Apple iPhone 15 Pro vs Xiaomi 14: Camera
The iPhone 15 Pro features a 48-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle unit (120 degrees FoV), and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera (3x optical zoom). The Xiaomi 14 is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (115-degree FoV), and a 50-megapixel telephoto unit (3.2x optical zoom). Both are well equipped in that regard, and both work. Great job.

The iPhone 15 Pro prefers warm colors, while the Xiaomi 14 prefers photos with contrast. Both phones have different shooting modes that change the overall look of the image. So you can choose among them and take a suitable shot. Both devices offer a lot of detail both during the day and at night, but the Xiaomi 14 handles street lights better and light sources in low light in general.
We also noticed that the Xiaomi 14 offers more stable performance under heavy HDR conditions (at least it did in our case). The secondary and third cameras on both phones do a great job of following the primary photographer’s color science, but it’s debatable as to the image quality you get from these cameras, and it all depends on the scene. . Some people prefer shots from an iPhone, while others prefer shots from a Xiaomi phone.
audio
Both of these smartphones come with stereo speakers. The speakers on both smartphones are good, but the speakers on the Xiaomi 14 are a bit louder. However, both speakers are well balanced.
Neither phone offers a 3.5mm headphone jack. A dongle is required to connect the headphones wired to the Type-C USB port. If you prefer wireless audio, the iPhone 15 Pro and Xiaomi 14 offer Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth 5.4, respectively.
