The iPhone 15 Pro Max is larger in most ways: overall size, screen, telephoto camera sensor, battery, and price. It also eschews the 128GB storage option offered by the Pro.

camera is almost the same
The cameras are nearly identical, but the 15 Pro has 3x optical zoom compared to the 5x optical zoom on the 15 Pro Max. However, these cameras are better than the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.

Final thoughts: Size matters
The biggest difference (so to speak) between the two iPhones is size. If you need a larger screen, choose Pro Max. If you want a smaller screen (and overall device), buy the Pro.
