Over the past few months, Google has been working behind the scenes to launch more “cross-device services” on Android and make features available on a variety of Android smartphones and tablets. However, we have yet to see the feature debut. However, the situation seems to be coming to an end, albeit gradually.
“Cross-device services” technically already exist on Android, and an app of the same name is used on Android to better integrate with Chromebooks. As we previously discovered, Android’s “device groups” allow users to link multiple Android devices and enable certain features. One of these included the ability to transfer video calls between devices.

In the case of “Cross-Device Services”, there are three functions.
“Call Cast” is the aforementioned feature that shares video calls between devices, while the “Internet Sharing” section offers hotspot sharing (possibly triggered from another device) and Wi-Fi to nearby devices.
