Android 15 Beta 1 is now available for eligible Pixel devices

Even though Beta 1 is winding down, Google made sure to mention in its announcement that it’s keeping a few things secret until Google I/O takes place on May 14th. However, since android 15 It has already been previewed by developers and some issues have been reported. Below is the changelog of what has been fixed.

Issues reported by developers

• Fixed a system network issue that could cause an “Adaptive Connectivity Services” message to appear. (Issue #330819651)
• We fixed a system issue where the “BAL has been blocked…” system toast message frequently appears while using the device. (Issue #330831456)
• Fixed an issue where Quick Settings tiles were sometimes not rendering correctly. (Issue #326544386)

Other resolved issues

• We fixed an issue where sideloading a Developer Preview 2 build could cause a “Device is corrupted” message to appear on the device after sideloading completes.
• Fixed an issue where the preview screen appeared cropped or cropped while adding a face model for face unlock.
• We fixed an issue where users were not prompted to enter a PIN to unlock the SIM card when a locked SIM card was inserted into an unlocked device.
• We fixed an issue where apps that depend on runtime-enabled SDKs were uninstalled on device restart.
• We fixed an issue where the search bar in System Settings was unresponsive when tapped for the first time.
• We fixed an issue where secondary users could not change their profile picture.
• Fixed an issue where Skia was not yet compatible. android 15 The Preview SDK no longer enables 3D mode in the Layout Inspector.

Problems solved with Bluetooth

• Bluetooth stability and pairing: Resolved several Bluetooth crashes and pairing failures, significantly improving connection reliability.
• LE Audio and Earphone Enhancements: We’ve significantly improved LE Audio connectivity and user experience, fixing audio routing discrepancies, post-call volume issues, and pairing issues.
• Security improvements: Fixed a critical security vulnerability related to legacy pairing of Pixel 4a and Pixel 3 XL.
• Bluetooth device information accuracy: Fixed several bugs to ensure accurate pairing information and bond types are retrieved.

Beta if you have a recent Pixel smartphone (Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 6a, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6, Pixel Fold, or Pixel Tablet). Enroll your device in the Android Beta for Pixel program and[設定]in the menu[システム]After selecting[ソフトウェア アップデート]Just tap to check for over-the-air (OTA) updates. Unfortunately, the Pixel 5a is not eligible for this update.

There are a few other things to note about this update. First, if you’re already using Android 14 QPR3 beta (and don’t have a Pixel 5a), you’ll be automatically redirected to the next page. android 15 Beta 1 does not require you to re-enroll in the beta program. If you would like to remain in the QPR Beta program without updating to android 15, you can ignore this update. You can also remove your device from the beta program, but please note that you will have to ignore the downgrade OTA and wait for the stable public release of QPR3 in June. At that point, you can completely exit the program and return to the public without wiping your phone. Additionally, minor updates will continue to be provided until then.
