Kuwait: Due to Kuwait’s harsh and hot climate that persists for most of the year, it is generally believed that opportunities to adopt an active lifestyle are very limited. However, fitness coach Sara Dashti disputes this point. Kuwait’s obesity rate ranks 15th in the world, according to the World Obesity Observatory, and Dashti stressed that the country’s people are increasingly recognizing the importance of regularly participating in sports. . This recognition is reflected in the increased introduction of amenities such as public parks, gyms, walking areas and even online fitness classes, she added.

Dashti emphasized that engaging in sports is not just a luxury, but essential for our well-being and physical health. “Especially as we get older, we need to continue to exercise so that we can move more easily in our daily lives,” she emphasized. Our muscles age over time, so increased mobility can improve your flexibility and allow you to be more independent in your daily life. “That’s when you feel lucky to be able to go to the bathroom or get out of bed on your own without needing anyone’s help,” she says.

Dashti advises an ideal routine of exercising three times a week for 30 minutes each session. She emphasized that Kuwait offers a variety of opportunities for free exercise to suit different interests and goals. For those who enjoy outdoor activities such as walking and running in the fresh air, we recommend starting at 5 a.m., before the sun gets too strong and the walk stretches across multiple regions of the country. To do. “I personally prefer this outdoor exercise because it improves mental health and promotes positive thinking,” she said.

Alternatively, for those who can’t get up too early, he recommended the dedicated walking paths found in most indoor modern shopping malls in the city. Dashti pointed out the importance of incorporating strength training to increase physical strength, as walking alone is not enough exercise. Strength training is often done in public parks with fitness machines along walking trails. Examples include the boulevards and playgrounds with his oasis of Mishref and most of Kuwait’s parks.

She also mentioned the variety of fitness gyms available at different price points to suit different budgets, as well as the growth of online fitness classes for added convenience. Dashti even praised the government’s proactive efforts to foster change and promote positive physical well-being. She mentioned the recent Kuwait Sports Day event attended by Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah. “Just having examples like that out there can definitely inspire and motivate people,” she said.

For further progress, Dashti suggested extending this approach to workplaces, especially by integrating training rooms in workplaces where employees need to stay for long periods of time. His 20-minute break for exercise is beneficial in a busy daily life.
