The Centennial Museum and Botanical Garden will hold a FloraFest Plant Sale on Saturday, April 6, starting at 9 a.m. at the UGLC Plaza on the UTEP campus next to the Centennial Museum. Credit or debit cards only, no cash accepted. We recommend bringing your own wagon.

El Paso Science Festival
The El Paso Science Festival begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, at the El Paso Convention Center. Featuring more than 90 exhibits, it’s open until 4pm and admission is free.
The El Paso Community Foundation and the Texas Book Festival have teamed up to highlight the work of three children’s book authors and illustrators as part of the El Paso Science Festival on Saturday, April 6 at 12:30 p.m. at the Convention Center.
Pedro Martín, Andrea Cáceres, and Mirel Ortega are the authors and illustrators participating in the panel titled “Pixels and Pages: Exploring Digital Design in Children’s Literature.”
Solar eclipse observation event
El Paso Community College invites the community to join us virtually or in person to experience and support the NASA solar eclipse event. Live NASA feeds from around the United States and from the International Space Station. The event will be held on Monday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the EPCC Mission Del Paso Campus, Building R, 10700 Gateway West. Telescopes will be set up for the community, viewing glasses will be set up (while supplies last), and EPCC faculty will be on hand to help.

Latin singer Alicia Villarreal brings her Donde Todo Comenzo tour to El Paso with a show at the Abraham Chavez Theater on April 13th at 8 p.m. Tickets are available from her $39 to $179 plus fees at Ticketmaster.com.

Track touch event
Cherry Hill Schools will hold its 3rd annual Touch a Truck fundraiser on Sunday, April 14th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 805 Cherry Hill Lane. Tickets are $10 per person and $30 per family and can be purchased online at http://thecherryhillschool.square.site/s/shop or in advance at the door.
At this event, kids can explore all types of vehicles, including public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery, and just plain cool trucks. There will also be bouncy houses, face painting, train rides, DJs, entertainment and other fun carnival activities. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
