In a Hollywood script-like twist, one TikTok user has revealed how tracking down a stolen iPhone turned into the perfect revenge story.
On February 10th, Jeremy Borrego (@jeremyb.hair) posted a video sharing how his phone was stolen upon arrival in Las Vegas. Borrego said the thief didn’t just steal a cell phone. He hacked Borrego’s account, changed his email address and password recovery phone number, and even stole money from him. “Everything, like everything, changed,” he said in the video.
But not all hope is lost. Thanks to Apple’s Find My iPhone feature, Borrego was able to track the location of his stolen phone, which was eventually located at a hotel across the street from where he was staying. Did.
“Then I was there for about 20 minutes. I kept observing the place to see what would change. It didn’t change. That’s crazy to me. So I went downstairs and… Walk across the street and find a place that’s right there,” he said.
After investigating the hotel, the TikToker identified two people he deemed “highly suspicious” and confronted one of them directly. “I said give me my fucking phone back,” Borrego recalled in the video. “Without hesitation, he stood up and said, “I don’t have your phone. You don’t have your phone. ”

This led to a heated exchange inside the hotel, which eventually led to security asking the TikToker and the suspected thief to leave.
Undeterred, the TikToker demanded the thief empty the bag. The man reportedly started running, and Borrego chased him the entire time while on the phone with police. “The cops are like, ‘Stop following me, stop following me!'” They’re like, ‘Oh, shut up.’ I’m going to follow him too. You need a cell phone,” Borrego said.
After a tense chase, he checks Apple’s Find My iPhone again and surprisingly manages to find his phone, abandoned on the street. But the story doesn’t end there.
Borrego laughed at the thief’s misfortune and revealed that during the confrontation, he also accidentally took the thief’s cell phone. he said with a grin. So now his idiot a** doesn’t have a cell phone. Good luck. I’m not hacking. what? It’ll go in the trash. ”
The video has since garnered nearly 100,000 views, with many users taking to the comments section to share their reactions.
“You said UNO REVERSE,” one commenter quipped.
Another suggested, “Turn off his location and send the money back to you.”
However, some cautioned Borrego, advising him to involve the police instead of taking matters into his own hands.
“Give the phone to the police and let them find him,” one commenter advised.
