Here’s the surprising part of this discovery: This feature is not part of the app that users need to download. It’s just built into the iPhone’s camera.
How to read clothing tags using your iPhone
If you look at the tags on some clothing items, you’ll notice that it includes instructions on how to wash and dry the product. There is usually a somewhat confusing set of symbols below the text.
To use this iPhone hack, you need to take a photo of your tag. Click the “i” icon at the bottom of the photo to view information about the photo.

At the top of the information screen, there is an option to “Look up Laundry Care”. This will display a detailed menu showing the meaning of each confusion tag symbol.
The information displayed on your iPhone is more detailed than the text on the tag, so you might want to try it out to save your clothes.
