In addition to the revamped overflow menu, YouTube Music is testing a redesign of the Cast UI on Android that utilizes the bottom sheet.
Instead of the “Cast to Device” box, you’ll see a sheet with rounded corners that lists “Recommended” targets first, then “Other Devices.” This is much more compact and looks like the main YouTube app’s video player settings, but YTM for iOS already uses a similar approach.
While casting, instead of duplicating the artwork, you’ll see a minimal “Now Playing” sheet with only a volume slider (since most of the player is visible). Play/pause has been removed.

This is a nice modernization after how YouTube Music moved the cast button to a permanent mini-player last year. This is part of the Persistence feature that Google is promoting to “allow users to see the Cast icon whenever they need it and receive better help and guidance on why a particular device isn’t showing up.” Part of Cast Icon. This was detailed in January, along with his upcoming Tap to Cast feature for docked Pixel tablets and his Google phones with UWB (Ultra Wide Band).
This Cast Sheet redesign for YouTube Music for Android is still being tested and hasn’t been widely rolled out yet. The overflow menu revamp hasn’t even fully begun yet.
