New York: Spectrum Science has made another strategic acquisition, this time in the world of clinical trial registries.
The network announced Thursday morning that it has acquired Continuum Clinical, a clinical trial registry based in the Chicago suburbs.
Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed, but Spectrum Science acquired the company from independent marketing agency BlueChip Worldwide.
Going forward, Continuum Clinical will join Spectrum’s existing pillars of clinical trial recruitment strategy, and Neil Weisman will continue to serve as president of the organization.
Spectrum Sciences CEO Jonathan Wilson said in a statement that the deal is an opportunity for the company to expand its presence in the patient recruitment space.
Backed by private equity firm Knox Lane, Spectrum Sciences continues to be an active player in the agency M&A space.
The acquisition of Continuum Clinical comes a few months after Spectrum Science acquired two healthcare organizations: CrowdPharm and Hot Iron Health. The combined company will be led by Cloud Farm MD and partner Mike Myers, who will serve as president and lead day-to-day operations.
As for Continuum Clinical, Wiseman said he is excited to partner with a partner with compatible views on the future of patient recruitment.
