Eight product series in the 2024 lineup are recognized for lower carbon emissions compared to previous year models, expanding the company’s certification portfolio
Samsung aims to have ‘product carbon footprint’ and ‘product carbon reduction’ certifications for more than 60 models by 2024
Samsung Electronics today announced eight product series.1 2024 Neo QLED 4K and 8K, OLED, and The Frame lineup have been awarded the “Product Carbon Reduction” certification from TÜV Rheinland, an international independent third-party testing, inspection and certification body. This certification demonstrates the reduction in carbon footprint of these products compared to previous year models and demonstrates the company’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint year-over-year.

TÜV Rheinland monitors Samsung TV products throughout their “cradle-to-grave” lifecycle, from manufacturing, transportation, use and disposal, in accordance with internationally recognized standards such as ISO 14067 and ISO 14064-4. This certification measures and controls greenhouse gas emissions throughout the product life cycle, collects and analyzes data according to management regulations and prescribed implementation manuals, calculates greenhouse gas emissions, provides transparency and reproducibility.
